The Write Idea

The Write Idea is a fresh, unique and playful facilitation methodology using creative writing and journaling exercises to unlock thinking and unleash surprising insights, fantastic ideas and new perspectives.

It takes away the need to ‘think up’ creative ideas

It’s accessible (anyone can do it), playful and can also be great fun.

It’s great for:

* Expanding thinking and brainstorming to generate ideas

* Generating insights and perspectives to solve problems and explore topics

* Visioning outcomes for future success

* Energising rooms, having some fun and creative stimulation

From as little as one hour, The Write Idea can be used on its own as an energiser, or to open up thinking at the beginning of a larger workshop and works really well in collaboration with other facilitation tools. It can be applied to any topic, audience or desired outcome whether planning, product development, learning or team-building.

What it involves

Participants take part in timed writing exercises. They write as freely as they can. They then share highlights in pairs before coming back to the main group.

How it works

By throwing out the writing rulebook and using writing simply as a tool, people are free to write without editing themselves, which they generally do when speaking.

Expands imagination and unleashes ideas.

Everyone can take part, no matter how ‘creative’ or not they may label themselves.

People leave more deeply connected to the topic, themselves and others.

It's fun and enlightening and can unleash forgotten creativity.

All voices and ideas are heard and the group leaves feeling united, energised and inspired.

Gives people new techniques to make their lives easier and more enjoyable.

Builds confidence.
