Write for your Life - Workshop (Zoom)

Runs twice a month (one Wednesday and one Sunday).

£10 per session - discount available for multiple sessions which can be used across regular workshops.

Come along for fun writing exercises and discussion, for self-discovery and creativity.

We use free writing and discussion to explore different topics and themes. This combination of writing and sharing (always optional) never fails to connect those taking part in the joys and challenges of being human. It can also be a lot of fun and a great creative outlet.

Workshops are great for stress relief, confidence, and uncovering different perspectives and sometimes surprising insights. It’s also a lovely way to celebrate your ‘you’-ness and realise that you're never alone when you have a pen in your hand.

No writing talent, knowledge or experience - and definitely no grammar - is required.

Writing can be insightful, and we might share things we write (always optional), but please note, this is not a therapy group and isn't suitable for replacement of individual/group therapeutic work.

Accountable Me 1:1 (Zoom)

£30 - 1 hour session

Having an objective and friendly ear to check in with and getting bundles of encouragement can help you to take action and keep you motivated and on track.

It's somewhere between having a coach and an objective friend who provides you with an entirely you-focused hour every month. We’ll discuss progress made, barriers faced along with lessons learned and work through any current challenges. In between, you are welcome to use email to send updates on progress. I will also provide you with bespoke writing prompts, if you wish, to help keep you focused on the outcome you’re working towards (one to one only).

The Declutter Room - Workshop (Zoom)

Runs monthly on a Tuesday

£10 - 1.5 hour session - discount available for multiple sessions which can be used across regular workshops.

Despite our best intentions, change doesn't always happen quickly. So I've created this new monthly check-in to provide you with some momentum, accountability and encouragement to help you work your way to sustained change, whatever the topic; self-development, writing, health, career, relationship etc.

Whatever your chosen topic, in this monthly check-in we’ll discuss progress made, barriers faced along with lessons learned and work through any current challenges.

We'll using writing and other exercises to dig a little deeper - no writing experience or grammar is required.

You can come once in a while, or regularly if there's something you'd like to work towards with the support and accountability of the group.

Unmute Me - Open mic (Zoom)

Runs once a month on a Wednesday

£3 - 1.5 hour session

A fun and encouraging open mic.

Whatever it is that you write, and regardless of who it's for, it's sometimes nice to share it. Reading out loud can be scary - yes, but this session is all about support and encouragement and celebrating having a go. If there's time and you want it, feedback can be requested. But it's primarily a fun evening sharing our writing with each other, just because we can.

There really is no requirement for what you bring to be a 'thing' e.g. poetry, prose, a story etc. It might just be something you wrote in a spare moment that made you kind of go 'huh?'. It could even be someone else's writing you really admire and just want to share its brilliance.

One to one coaching (Zoom)

£60 per hour (individual)

£45 per hour (individual concession - NHS/Not for profit)

£120 per hour (organisation)

£95 per hour (organisation concession - NHS/not for profit)

Life can be hard. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, especially if you’re pre-disposed to  over-thinking, indecision, catastrophizing (don’t take me on, I’ll win) and getting caught in the spin cycle, you know, where you go round and round in circles.

It feels impossible to stop and take a breath, to check in with what we really want and who we really are amongst all the noise. We’re getting by, but not really living. It’s no fun and I know because I've been there.

If you’re feeling lost, stuck or overwhelmed, I can help you to get some headspace and clarity and make changes in your life. I’m not talking about big dramatic changes, though these are often what we crave when we’re backed into a corner. Small changes can make a big difference and in my experience people just need to come back to themselves where they mostly find they have all they need.

I’ll guide you – with the aid of writing exercises - to re-discover who you are and what makes you happy, so you can spend more time doing the things that fulfil you, and dare I say it, have an easier, more enjoyable life. Imagine that.

I’ve helped people to unblock their creativity, change career, reduce overwhelm and stress, adjust to more senior positions at work, tackle relationship challenges, take chances on doing the things that they love as well as discovering what those things are. People are left feeling more in control, happier, and hopeful – even excited - about the future.

I can help you because I’ve been there. I haven’t nailed it and I don’t have a perfect life, but it’s a whole lot better for having taken the time to invest in myself. Asking for help can be the hardest lesson to learn. I believe it’s the most valuable lesson of all.

Feel free to book in some time in my calendar to chat to me about how I can help.

First we'll chat to see if we'd like to work together, then we'll set up a first session if that feels right. I normally recommend six to ten sessions every other week, but some prefer weekly, some less sessions, some more. This can all be arranged to suit what you're looking for.

Also available - Prompt Prescription - an email coaching service using writing - see below.

We all have mental health. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes, not so good. Whilst I believe writing is incredibly healing as well as useful, writing is never going to replace professional intervention if you need additional support, though it can be incredibly helpful alongside therapeutic work. In fact a good number of people I work with have both therapy and coaching, including myself. If you're unsure what help you might need, I can help you to explore what's available.

Prompt Prescription - Email coaching

£35 - Five prompts (to be used within one month)

£55 - One month unlimited (to be used within one month)

Prompt Prescription is an Email coaching service. As with one to one coaching, it aims to help you work through specific goals and challenges, but with Prompt Prescription we use writing (via email) instead of speaking.

In summary, here's how it works:

1. You tell me about your current challenge or goal, by email.

2. I send you a writing prompt.

3. You write from that prompt.

4. You share what you’ve written and/or your experience of the writing.

5. I send my reflections and a further prompt.

6. Repeat.

Emails are responded to within 48 hours.

No writing experience is necessary.

Who am I and how did I get here?

More importantly, where do I want to be?  -

Course (Zoom)

Runs on selected dates - see booking site for next available course.

£99 - Three 3.5 hour sessions included

A workshop over three Saturdays to explore who you are, how you got here, and get clear about what it is you want from your life.

Are you a serial searcher? Looking for yourself all over the shop and coming up empty handed? Maybe you used to know who you were and you’ve lost touch with that or maybe you’ve never really known and feel like you’re living a life that can feel empty and unsatisfying.

This experiential course (maximum 12 participants) is jam packed full of writing and journaling exercises combined with coaching techniques designed to explore all things 'you', and I promise you are fascinating enough to fill a year’s worth of exploration, let alone three sessions. In fact, this course is really just the beginning, or continuing of where you’ve got to so far.

I'll guide you to:
- Reflect on where you are now, how you got here, and what you need to let go of – even if you’re not quite ready to do that right now (we can’t put a date on that one I’m afraid.)
- Explore - perhaps for the first time – who you are; what makes you tick, what you enjoy, who you really are, and that includes all aspects of you (trust me, there are lots of ’yous’ in there).
- Define your very own measures of success, what you might like to be different in your life and explore some ways to help you get there.

The techniques you'll learn over the three sessions will help you in the future to ground yourself, explore your world, declutter and unblock, gain insight and perspective around who you are and what you want, defuse overwhelm, process feelings and emotions, and much more.

Taking this time for yourself and sharing the journey with others is guaranteed to help you see that you’re not in this alone, that being human can be hard and that there’s actually nothing wrong with you - just ‘stuff’ in the way of you being yourself.

This course is open to everyone. No writing talent, knowledge or experience - and definitely no grammar - is required.

Writing can be insightful, and we might share things we write (always optional), but please note, this is not a therapy group and isn't suitable for replacement of individual/group therapeutic work.

The Power of Fear - Making it work for you not against you - Workshop (Zoom)

Runs on selected dates - see booking site for next available course.

£15 - 1.5 hour session

Run by guest facilitator, Katie Denyer

The Power of Fear: making it work for you not against you. A workshop to help you better understand and manage your fear so that it works for you not against you.

What if your biggest fears are actually here to signpost you to what you really want?

So often we push down, ignore, and distract ourselves from fear; fear of rejection, failure, not being good enough etc. Sometimes we may not even know it exists; we’ve hidden our fears so deeply that they now show up as guilt, shame, jealousy, dissatisfaction, self-judgment, perfectionism, loneliness...

Either way, fear can stop us from becoming the person we most want to be, doing the things we most want to do.

This one-hour workshop will give you a safe, supportive space to explore and name your fears and to understand what they're trying to tell you. You will be guided through self-reflection and pair-work to discover how life could be different if you quietened the fear and what you need to do in order to make that happen. Gain fresh insights, change the way you think, and step bravely into the unknown.

You will leave knowing how to use your fear to get you one step closer to what you want.

Katie is an accredited, ICF approved Career and Wellbeing Coach helping ambitious professionals have the confidence to make the most of their potential. She asks gently challenging questions to encourage people to think in ways they never have before. She quickly creates trust and safety, nurtures self-belief and gives you the clarity you need to take your next steps forward.

Blog my Voice - Course (Zoom)

Runs on selected dates - see booking site for more information.

£39 - 3.5 hour session

Writing workshop to uncover your voice for blogging, prose, writing for life and beyond.

This experiential workshop is about discovering and developing your writing voice. This is really a life-long pursuit, but this workshop will tune you into the signs and clues that will help you to refine your style and to feel more confident about your writing going forwards.

We’ll be doing lots of writing exercises to help bring out what you want to say as well as how you want to say it in your vocabulary, style and tone. We’ll try on different styles for size and reflect on our own. We’ll work out what is ‘you’ and what is not.

You'll leave feeling more connected to and confident about your writing voice and what you have to say.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to explore themselves through their writing voice - whether you write a journal, poems, blogs or stories.

Whose words are they anyway? Writing games for fun and creatiivity (Zoom)

Runs on selected dates - see booking site for more information.

£10- 1.5 hour session

This workshop is all about being creative and having a bit of a laugh.

We'll use all kinds of writing prompts and games to get our pens moving, our imagination firing and our creativity flowing.

I'll guide you through the prompts - some inspired by comedy improvisation - where you can be free to be as silly as you like. There will be some sharing in pairs and as a group.

No writing experience, talent and definitely no grammar is required.
