Currently all by Zoom

Introduction to Creative Group Journaling (Zoom)

Free

Come along and experience the joy and value of writing and sharing with others. You'll get more headspace to focus on, and achieve the things you want, and even make life easier and more enjoyable in the the process (imagine!)

This session will introduce you to some fun writing techniques that can help you connect to yourself, give you some perspective and help you to get unstuck, amongst other things. These exercises will help you to surface new insights and ideas, guiding you on what needs to happen next, if anything.

Sharing, whilst encouraged, is always optional, and always in pairs. We use free writing prompts to get our pens and imaginations going.
It’s creative, supportive and fun, so why not come along and give it a go.

No writing talent, knowledge or experience - and definitely no grammar - is required.

Dates

Tuesday, 6th November, 6.30-7.30pm

Monday, 27th December, 6.30-7.30pm

Write for your Life - Creative group journaling (Zoom)

£10 per session or six for £51

It’s like journaling but with others! Trust me, it’s fun, supportive, rewarding and creative too.

We use free-writing and discussion to explore various topics. This combination of writing and sharing (always optional) never fails to connect those taking part in the joys and challenges of being human. It can also be a lot of fun and a great creative outlet.

It could be a new season, a painting or National Penguin Day that we take for our inspiration in this session. Whilst still great for self-reflection, these sessions are more open to allow our imagination to go any which way they please. It’s for those who want to get writing and sharing with others in a fun, supportive setting.

No writing talent, knowledge or experience - and definitely no grammar - is required.

All sessions are great for stress relief, confidence, and uncovering different perspectives and sometimes surprising insights. It’s also a lovely way to celebrate your ‘you’-ness and realise that you're never alone when you have a pen in your hand.

Also available as on 1:1, contact me for more information.

It’s for those who would like to explore a little more deeply, the topic at hand with other like-minded souls.

We use free-writing and discussion to explore. This combination of writing and sharing (always optional) never fails to connect those taking part in the joys and challenges of being human. It can also be a lot of fun and a great creative outlet.

Write for your Life PLUS - Creative group journaling (Zoom)

Max 6 participants

£19

Going a little deeper, these sessions will follow the topic that emerges from the group who are writing together. It’s for those who want to explore their inner landscape and go a little deeper with their writing, in a fun and supportive setting.

While the group will be supportive and a safe place to share and be seen, it's not a therapy group. The focus is on reflecting and sharing what we surface in our writing, not using the dynamics of the group to learn and develop.

No writing talent, knowledge or experience - and definitely no grammar - is required.

Write together - mini writing retreats

Free

These mini writing retreats are time just for you.

Writing for your life - journaling, blogging or anything else - is something we don't always make time for and these sessions offer a tiny escape from the noise for you to stop and do some writing or reading if you like. In fact, if it helps you to do the ironing, then go for it.

There will be a little time to share what we're each working on but the main purpose of this held time is to just do some writing.

Just being with other people - even on Zoom - can really help to get your pen moving.

These sessions will always be free, but if you'd like to buy me a coffee (or a Ko-fi!) click here: https://ko-fi.com/cpsdayoff
thanks!

£95 per hour (organisation concession - NHS/not for profit)

Life can be hard. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, especially if you’re pre-disposed to  over-thinking, indecision, catastrophizing (don’t take me on, I’ll win) and getting caught in the spin cycle, you know, where you go round and round in circles.

It feels impossible to stop and take a breath, to check in with what we really want and who we really are amongst all the noise. We’re getting by, but not really living. It’s no fun and I know because I've been there.

If you’re feeling lost, stuck or overwhelmed, I can help you to get some headspace and clarity and make changes in your life. I’m not talking about big dramatic changes, though these are often what we crave when we’re backed into a corner. Small changes can make a big difference and in my experience people just need to come back to themselves where they mostly find they have all they need.

I’ll guide you – with the aid of writing exercises - to re-discover who you are and what makes you happy, so you can spend more time doing the things that fulfil you, and dare I say it, have an easier, more enjoyable life. Imagine that.

I’ve helped people to unblock their creativity, change career, reduce overwhelm and stress, adjust to more senior positions at work, tackle relationship challenges, take chances on doing the things that they love as well as discovering what those things are. People are left feeling more in control, happier, and hopeful – even excited - about the future.

I can help you because I’ve been there. I haven’t nailed it and I don’t have a perfect life, but it’s a whole lot better for having taken the time to invest in myself. Asking for help can be the hardest lesson to learn. I believe it’s the most valuable lesson of all.

Feel free to book in some time in my calendar to chat to me about how I can help.

First we'll chat to see if we'd like to work together, then we'll set up a first session if that feels right. I normally recommend six to ten sessions every other week, but some prefer weekly, some less sessions, some more. This can all be arranged to suit what you're looking for.

Also available - Prompt Prescription - an email coaching service using writing - see below.

We all have mental health. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes, not so good. Whilst I believe writing is incredibly healing as well as useful, writing is never going to replace professional intervention if you need additional support, though it can be incredibly helpful alongside therapeutic work. In fact a good number of people I work with have both therapy and coaching, including myself. If you're unsure what help you might need, I can help you to explore what's available.

Prompt Prescription - One:one email coaching

£35 - Five prompts (to be used within one month)

£55 - One month unlimited (to be used within one month)

Prompt Prescription is an Email coaching service. As with one to one coaching, it aims to help you work through specific goals and challenges, but with Prompt Prescription we use writing (via email) instead of speaking.

In summary, here's how it works:

1. You tell me about your current challenge or goal, by email.

2. I send you a writing prompt.

3. You write from that prompt.

4. You share what you’ve written and/or your experience of the writing.

5. I send my reflections and a further prompt.

6. Repeat.

Emails are responded to within 48 hours.

No writing experience is necessary.

Writing Coach

My role as your writing to coach is to help you achieve your writing goals by building habits and practices that get you where you want to go. I'll help you to stay on track, face and overcome blocks, creative or otherwise, and to get more enjoyment out of writing. This isn't about writing well, I believe that will happen over time through the practice of writing (and reading) itself. The more you write, the better it will become. So if you'd like help and accountability in reaching your writing goals, let me help you on your way.
